It’s a small world after all.
Disney tells expansive stories. A story Disney wanted to convey was that the LGBTQ+ community embodies a rich spectrum of identity. The community’s relationship with gender expression and sexual identity continues to evolve, making it an ongoing conversation—one that captures a beautiful array of individuals. Disney moved forward with three of my ideas - my favorite is below. These ideas were taken in-house for production.

Let’s bring together LGBTQ+ers from all over the world to Disney Parks to talk about their lives and their gender identity or sexual orientation and how their country and culture have influenced their experiences.
How the idea comes to life:
Host in-person roundtable discussions where we feature a different LGBTQ+ community group each month.
How does the idea work?
We'll open Disney parks to people from this community from all over the world to celebrate, finding members of each gender identity and sexual orientation to share their stories. Each audience has different issues, insights, and perspectives. Let's bring these identities together to discuss the similarities and differences in their experiences within their respective cultures and home countries.
What does this do?
Allows the individual stories to bring an international viewpoint to the more significant issue of acceptance experienced in the LGBTQ+ community. This creates insights for the audience around cultural similarities and differences experienced by each identity within the community. This idea drives empathy by sharing heartwarming stories of perseverance with fresh content throughout the year.
